The deacons at First Baptist Church exist to serve our local family of believers. Below are some of the areas where our deacons serve. If you are a member of First Baptist Church and have a need, please call our church offices at (575) 396-3637.
Family Bereavement: Assisting our local members in ministering to those who have lost loved ones.
Hospital Ministry: Assisting our local members in visitation of those in the hospital.
Shut-in Ministry: Assisting our local members in visiting those confined to their homes or who belong to a nursing home.
New Member Assimilation: Assisting in the New Members Class.
Widow/Widower Ministry: Assist in meeting the needs of widows and widowers who need help with common tasks around their home.
Family Crisis Team: In conjunction with the pastor, assisting in helping families with crisis issues not related to loss or illness of family members.
Helping Hands Ministry: Assisting our local members in meeting the needs of members who need help with common tasks/repairs that they may be incapable of doing themselves.
